JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE:

Podiatrist

JOB TYPE:

Employee permanent part-time (28 hours/week) negotiable

LOCATIONS:

69 Central Coast Highway West Gosford NSW 2250 &

9c/1-10 Amy Cl, Wyong NSW 2259

SUPERVISOR/MANAGER:

Senior Podiatrist / Business management team

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General podiatry foot care; routine nail care, callous, corns, ingrown toenails, plantar warts,
  • Comprehensive and timely biomechanical assessments, effective / clear diagnosis, patient education and management plans
  • High risk foot / wound management
  • Liason and case conferencing with GP’s and other allied health professionals
  • Marketing and promotion of podiatric practice and business
  • Other tasks as directed
  • Willing to travel between Wyong and West Gosford practice locations

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:    

  • Completed bachelor degree or equivalent in Podiatry and current registration with AHPRA
  • WWCC

Experience:

  • 2-3 years experience in private practice preferred but not required

  • Sound clinical skills and reasoning
  • Demonstrated effective / efficient case load management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Compassionate and dedicated to patient centred care
  • Dedicated to continuing professional development and understanding and implementing latest innovations and evidence based techniques into clinical practice

  • Thorough clinical note taking and maintenance
  • Enthusiasm
  • Professionalism
  • Able to work autonomously individually and within a team
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
